Karla Booth, MAmSAT
Certified Senior Teacher of
The Alexander Technique
Welcome! I am an Alexander Teacher with an extensive background in movement as well as in other forms of bodywork, healing and the arts. For over 35 years I have been in private practice - 30 of those as an Alexander Teacher. My interest in the Alexander Technique came because of terrible neck and back pain related to poor body usage that plagued me as a young dancer. Today as well as teaching Alexander Technique I continue to dance, choreograph, sing, and teach movement.
My studies have included 1600 hours at the American Center for the Alexander Technique (NYC 1990), 1800 hours at the Institute for Music & Health with Dr. John Diamond, Yoga RYT 200, Anatomy Courses at Colleges and with Tom Meyers of Anatomy Trains, Ted Dimon from the Dimon Institute, Voice & Poise with Milton Feher, the Evolutionary and Developmental Movement of Raymond Dart and various other workshops and trainings.
